WHEN EMPLOYEES THINK AND ACT LIKE OWNERS…
The management paradigm that dominated corporate thinking for more than one hundred years has been turned upside down by thousands of companies who have dramatically improved their financial performance and the lives of employees who drive that performance.
The secret: a culture of ownership that allows them to tap into the most under-utilized resource in business today: the enthusiasm, intelligence, and creativity of their people. It’s called The Great Game of Business.
The Great Game of Business isn’t about theory -- it’s about practice. The Great Game can show any company how to teach its employees:
- How to think and act like owners
- How to promote continuous learning at every level of the organization
- How to fire up employees’ competitive juices
- How to broaden the concept of leadership
- How to delegate more effectively
- How to drive innovation and build value in the business
- How to improve financial results for the company and the employees
People have applied the principles of The Great Game to an awesome array of businesses -- from oil companies to hair salons, from Internet start-ups to fast-food chains, to law firms, landscapers, mining operations, even not-for-profit social service organizations.

Meet Great Game coach Bill Collier.
Bill was born and raised in St. Louis. In 1988, he founded BC Group International, a regional distributor of biomedical testing equipment. In 1994 Bill discovered The Great Game of Business and implemented open-book management, and results were excellent. BC Group grew profitably for a decade, improving its gross margin, cash flow, quality, employee turnover, and customer satisfaction. The company was named to the St. Louis Technology Fast 50, a listing of the 50 fastest-growing tech firms in St. Louis, for the years 2000, 2001, and 2003. Bill sold BC Group in 2005.
Today Bill is a coach with The Great Game of Business, helping companies implement open-book management and achieve financial success.

We held our first Great Game of Business HAPPY HOUR SOCIAL on Thursday August 13, 2009 at Schlafly Bottleworks. We had about 50 Great Game/Open Book practitioners and enthusiasts there, sharing Best Practices, participating in a panel discussion and learning - so it was a big success. WE HOPE YOU CAN MAKE THE NEXT ONE.
